Comprehensive Warranty Policy for PREMIOTT S.R.L Products

Introduction

This document constitutes the full Warranty Policy ("Policy") issued by PREMIOTT S.R.L ("Premiott", "we", "us", or "our"), a hallmark of exquisite craftsmanship, registered in Romania under the Unique Registration Number 49237841, which is situated at str. Republicii nr 2g, Odoreu, Satu-Mare. Our meticulously crafted watches and premium leather goods epitomize durability and excellence. This Warranty Policy underscores our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction across our product range.

Warranty Period

  • Watches: A 24-month warranty from the date of purchase covers manufacturing defects and accuracy of the watch movement under normal usage conditions.
  • Exotic Premium Leather Goods: A 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering material and craftsmanship defects under normal use.

Common Defects and Warranty Coverage

Mechanical Watches:

Mechanical watches, which operate without a battery, may exhibit abnormal deviations in timekeeping accuracy, with the hour, minute, and second hands moving significantly slower or faster than the movement's normal deviation. Premiott will cover repair costs for such issues, assuming proper usage conditions.

Quartz Watches:

Quartz watches, functioning on a simple computer mechanism, seldom encounter operational problems not caused by external factors. However, care should be taken when opening the case for battery replacement; exposure to water can cause a short circuit of the mechanism. Premiott conducts free evaluations to determine if the watch was used within normal parameters, covering repair costs accordingly. Should there be costs associated with a repair, an estimate will be provided for customer approval.

Warranty Coverage

Watches:

  • Manufacturing defects, significant accuracy issues, and functional discrepancies of the watch movement are covered.
  • Repair costs for defects under warranty are fully covered by Premiott, subject to evaluation confirming the defect was not caused by external factors.

Exotic Premium Leather Goods:

  • Covers defects in materials and craftsmanship, excluding damage from misuse or normal wear and tear.

Water Resistance Guidance

The water resistance ratings for Premiott watches are determined based on tests conducted in controlled laboratory environments by the manufacturer. These tests do not simulate the variety of dynamics and pressures encountered during actual use in water, including aggressive movements and environmental changes. While Premiott does not conduct independent water resistance testing, we endeavor to uphold the original water resistance specifications of our watch cases through meticulous quality control measures.

Limitations of Water Resistance

Water resistance is a measure that cannot be guaranteed as a permanent feature due to several factors:

  • Aging of Seals: Over time, the water resistance seals may deteriorate.
  • Mechanical Impact: Shocks to the watch crown or back can compromise water resistance.
  • Improper Closure: Incorrect threading of the watch's back cap after opening can lead to water ingress
  • Improper Crown usage: Incorrect or incomplete Crown usage (either threaded crown or push-pull crown) will lead to a voided warranty

To maintain optimal water resistance, it is recommended that your watch be checked by an authorized service center at least once every 12 months.

Special Considerations for Crown Operations

For watches equipped with a threaded crown, it is crucial to ensure that the crown is fully secured before the watch is submerged in water. Engaging the time or date setting functions while the watch is underwater, or failing to securely thread the crown, may result in water damage not covered under warranty.

Water Resistance Ratings and Recommended Use

Water resistance capabilities vary across different models and are intended to guide the use of the watch in various environments:

  • 30m: Watches are resistant to light splashes.
  • 50m: Suitable for exposure to rain and accidental splashes. Swimming or immersion in water is not advised.
  • 100m: Appropriate for swimming in shallow water. Note that exposure to chemicals, such as those found in swimming pools, may affect the watch's water resistance over time.
  • 200m: Designed for more rigorous water activities, including deeper swimming. However, exposure to chemicals and significant impacts can still compromise water resistance.

Exclusions and Limitations

The following conditions are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage, and any damage arising under these circumstances will void the warranty:

  • External Damages: Not covered under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
    • Damages from sporting activities.
    • Accidental damage from dropping, hitting, or improper handling.
    • Improper transport, handling, or storage.
    • Unauthorized maintenance or repairs.
    • Damage from third-party repairs or opening of the watch.
    • Non-compliance with operational guidelines provided by Premiott.
    • Exposure to harmful elements such as water, dust, steam, chemicals, or electromagnetic fields.
    • Exposure to temperatures outside the operational range of 5°C to 35°C.
    • Adjusting the watch's date between 9:00 PM and 2:00 AM, which may interfere with the date-changing mechanism.
  • Aesthetic and Structural Deficiencies: Including abrasions, discolorations, scratches, cracks, or any physical damage to the watch materials, as well as loosening of water resistance seals.
  • Third-Party Interaction: Any functional, aesthetic, structural, or other defects resulting from third-party interaction will result in the total loss of the warranty. Professional services are recommended for maintenance to ensure coverage for any potential damages during servicing.
  • Battery Life and Normal Wear: The warranty does not extend to the battery life of quartz watches or normal wear and tear, such as scratched crystals, tarnish, or wear of non-metallic straps and chains (e.g., leather, textile, rubber).
  • Water Resistance Maintenance: The warranty excludes damage from water ingress due to worn-out seals not serviced at recommended intervals. Premiott advises a check-up and service every 6-12 months to maintain water resistance. Failure to adhere to this maintenance schedule may result in water damage not covered by warranty.

    Additional Exclusions:

    • PREMIOTT does not cover normal wear and aging, tarnishing, or peeling of materials.
    • Water resistance is not permanently guaranteed and can diminish over time or due to impact.
    • Damage resulting from non-compliance with care instructions, incorrect use, negligence, or accidents.

    Warranty Terms of Use

    • Customers must contact Premiott via email (contact@premiott.ro) or phone (+40 750 407 676) for warranty service or claims.
    • Products must be returned with all original accessories for a comprehensive evaluation by Premiott.
    • Post-evaluation, if the defect is covered, Premiott will repair or replace the item. If damage is outside the warranty scope, an estimated repair cost will be provided.
    • Watches sent under warranty without prior contact or not adhering to the terms may be returned at the sender's expense.

Should the customer not accept the economically viable repair solutions offered by Premiott, we reserve the right to cease efforts to restore the product to its intended functionality. This action may be taken in instances where the cost of repairs or replacements, as requested by the customer, significantly exceeds the reasonable expenses outlined by Premiott, especially when evaluated against the current value of the product as determined at the time of the warranty assessment.

    Resolution Timeframe

    • Resolution times vary, especially if parts are unavailable. The process could extend from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the complexity of obtaining necessary components.

      Policy Modification

This Policy is exhaustive and supersedes any other warranty statements. PREMIOTT retains the right to amend or update the Policy without prior notification. The warranty is null for products sold by unauthorized dealers, second-hand products, or counterfeit items.
