The Premiott watch atelier in Cluj-Napoca

Premiott is a watch atelier in Cluj-Napoca. We don't import ready-made watches and we don't sell from a stock of finished models: every watch that leaves here was first configured by someone, dial, case, hands, bracelet, and, most of the time, an engraved text.

That changes the order of things. Your order isn't looking for a watch on a shelf, it starts an assembly: the parts are chosen, the caseback is engraved, the watch is hand-fitted and checked, then it ships to you in 1–7 days.

This page is the most direct description of how we work, from the movement we use to what “assembled in Romania” actually means.

The parts, up close

Dials, cases, bracelets, the real components each watch is built from. What you choose in the configurator is exactly what we fit at the workbench.

Who we are

We're a small atelier in Cluj-Napoca, so small that every watch passes through the hands of a single person, from the first part to the final check. It's not a production line: it's a workbench. Every watch ordered through the configurator is assembled here, without exception.

How a Premiott watch is made, in four steps

1. You choose. In the configurator you build your watch starting from one of four models: Mariner (sport design, inspired by dive watches), Just Date (classic, with a date window), Heritage (elegant, with an integrated bracelet), or Lady Just (the women's option). You choose the dial, case, hands, and bracelet, and see the result as you change it.

2. We engrave. If you've added a text, it goes on the caseback, exactly as you wrote it. Details about this step are on the engraved watches page.

3. We hand-assemble. The movement, dial, hands, case, and bracelet are fitted one by one, at the workbench, and the watch is checked before it's closed up. There's no automated line behind this step.

4. We ship. The watch leaves within 1–7 days of the order. Engraving and assembly are already included in this timeframe, not added on top of it.

What movement we use

Every watch in the configurator has a Seiko NH35 automatic movement. “Automatic” means it winds from the motion of the wrist and has no battery: if you wear it daily, it keeps running on its own. The NH35 is one of the most widely used automatic movements in the industry, precisely because it's robust and easy to maintain. Above it, the crystal is sapphire, one of the most scratch-resistant materials used in watches.

Why it matters that the watch is assembled in Romania

Because the atelier is right here. You write a message, and the person who assembled your watch answers directly and personally, with no intermediaries and no time-zone lag. The 24-month warranty is also handled through the atelier. And if you want to change something before assembly, it's a conversation, not a form lost in a distribution chain.

A look inside the atelier

Besides watches, we also make standalone parts, for example the custom skeletonized rotor for NH35 / 4R35-family movements. It's the kind of work done on the same bench where the watches are assembled.

What you can actually ask the atelier for is laid out on the personalization page.

Average rating 4.9★ from customer reviews, you can read them on the reviews page. Looking for gift ideas? See personalized gift watch grouped by occasion. When you want to see what your configuration would look like, open the configurator.

How long does my watch stay on the workbench?

The actual assembly takes less time than you'd think; what takes time is the queue of orders on the bench. In practical terms, for you: the watch leaves the atelier within 1–7 days of the order, with engraving and the final check already done.

What warranty do I have, and who honors it?

The warranty is 24 months and covers every watch, including engraved ones, personalization doesn't reduce it. We honor it directly, at the atelier that assembled the watch. Full terms are on the warranty page.

A Seiko NH35 automatic movement, which winds from the motion of the wrist, with no battery, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. They're the same on every model in the configurator.
